Nice weekend or cartography but little else. Two PvP weekends in a row. Yawn! Thought we would not notice! Anet seems to be pushing PvP lately with the addition of Z keys and weekends all the time. I feel like the ugly stepdaughter of PvE.

FA is actually quite fun. You can spend a lot of time ganking (as a sin usually), monking, or playing an "anti-ganker" (mesmer, air ele) and just laugh as you crush people.
Unfortunately, people don't play for fun anymore. They play to grind titles. And they grind as efficiently as possible. HFFF is still better for faction, so this won't be a popular weekend.

Why not make the double rewards permanent, and make it a quadruple faction weekend?

Because FA and JQ just flat out suck (in the opinion of >99% of the players), so people won't play it unless it's more efficient than FFF at farming faction and/or more profitable through selling keys than most other methods of farming gold.
As for me, I ever played only 4 matches of FA (1 for mapping) and 1 match of JQ for mapping and don't plan on doing any, bonus weekend or not.

Did you know that 5 out of 3 experts disagree with your statistics?
Yay for more FA mayhem!

I HFFF now and then and I'm just below a Rank 4 Kurzick. How much faster is it gaining faction in the competitive missions during this weekend compared to gaining faction doing HFFF?

Double faction half waiting time? Guess only half an episode of Family Guy then.

Hence why I won't be bothering. Too many assholes play in the PvP portions of the game.

Perhaps you and your friends play to grind titles (none of the Factions PvE skills are worth the effort to me), but I play for fun.

hell ya! 2x faction points in FA/JQ ftw!! Its actually fun in FA, especially when u have RA rage
I like it alot since its a different kind of gameplay for GW (not PvE/PvP exactly) and breaks the monotony of the game.

Another farming weekend for me - don't think I'll touch these areas unless my friends are gonna play 'em as well. I have a tendency of attracting morons so I'm better off solo farming x].

Hooray for mapping JQ!
Other than that, I guess I haven't done FA for a while.
